Bar operator Truffle Hunting has taken over The Lady Ottoline pub in Bloomsbury from former operator Noble Inns.

Truffle Hunting has implemented staffing changes in the London pub. Chef Richard Meakin, formerly of Truffle Hunting pub The Princess Victoria, will take over the running of the kitchens, while Hannah Bonnell from Truffle Hunting’s Newman Street Tavern will oversee the bar and dining area.

Meakin will serve a new seasonal menu in the upstairs dining room and bar snacks in the pub. The Lady Ottoline’s wine list has also seen a revamp.

Founder and director of Noble Inns Scott Hunting said the company had decided to look for new operators for The Lady Ottoline as it was ‘moving in a direction far removed’ from the style of the pub.

Truffle Hunting’s managing director Nigel Sutcliffe said: “I have a huge amount of respect for Scott and his pubs and am so pleased that he felt able to pass The Lady Ottoline over to Truffle Hunting.

“We hope to do him justice and to continue to serve quality ales, beers, spirits and wines as well as outstanding food in the upstairs dining room. The Lady Ottoline is an historic and stunning site and we look forward to welcoming regulars and new customers across the threshold.”
