The 291-bedroom hotel is located on Minories Road, close to the Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations, as well as a number of the city’s tourist attractions.
The hotel aims to invoke the brand’s “Great Design for Little Money” motto and its room rates start from £98 per night.
Chief executive and founder of Motel One Dieter Müller said: "London is a magnet for visitors from all over the world.
“Motel One London Tower Hill offers design, quality and highly competitive prices to visitors to the city. We look forward to welcoming our guests to the City of London in our new hotel.”
Motel One London Tower Hill is the group’s third hotel in the UK, where it already runs two properties in Edinburgh.
The Motel One group has a strong focus on hotel design and each of its properties has its own ‘individual style unique to its location’. The Motel One London Tower Hill has been decorated with a ‘royal flair’ to reflect this.
The hotel’s One Lounge bar features images of the crown jewels, Swarowski crystals, and contemporary candelabra throughout, to bring a ‘regal’ feel to the room. Its furnishings include leather armchairs, chesterfield sofas, tweed and velvet covered armchairs and a large fireplace.
The hotel offers both single and double rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms feature Egyptian cotton bed linen, Artemide Tolomeo designed light fittings and LOEWE flat screen TVs, and have been designed with functional storage space for luggage. The bathrooms are fitted with granite and glass and come with monsoon rain showers.
Motel One London Tower Hill offers free Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel and iPads are available for guests from One Lounge.
