Italian wine bar and eatery Enoteca Rabezzana opened its first UK site in the City of London on 5 December.

Enoteca Rabezzana has a site in Turin in Italy, but this is its first wine bar in the UK. It sells Italian wines from producer Rabezzana Vini, which makes wines from vineyards in the Monferrato area in Italy.

The wine bar is located on Long Lane in the Smithfield Market area of the City. It has 60 covers and boasts a ‘modern design’ with an open plan kitchen.

The venture claims to be ‘more than just a wine bar’, and also serves a range of Italian snacks and foods alongside a long cocktail list. The menu at Enoteca Rabezzana was designed by chef patron at London restaurant Acciuga, Guglielmo Arnulfo, who has worked with Enoteca Rabezzana in Italy.

Arnulfo said: “What we are especially excited about is that the combination of my experience at Acciuga and the impressive heritage of Enoteca Rabezzana in Turin will create something very special and unique for the London scene.

“We will offer an Italian oeno-gastronomic experience second to none in the capital.”

Food and drink offering

Enoteca Rabezzana serves a menu of Italian classics and tapas-sized dishes to share. The menu includes dishes such as Arnulfo’s signature Carbonara, and fried duck egg with white truffle. There is also a selection of traditional Italian sweets and chocolates available.

Its wine menu has 150 different red and white fine wines to choose from, as well as champagne by the glass. There is also a signature cocktail menu created by the bar’s team of mixologists.

Enoteca Rabezzana intends to host a number of events, including oenology courses, wine tastings and ‘multisensory workshops’. It is also available to hire for private events and business lunches.

The wine bar is open from Monday to Friday from 11:30am until late.
