Country range has launched a new line of unsmoked back bacon in large packs for foodservice.

Product details:

The unsmoked back bacon comes in 2.27kg packs which contain 38 to 42 rindless rashers. The rashers are suitable for freezing.

The bacon works well in both savoury dishes and sweeter ones, such as bacon with pancakes and maple syrup.

USP:

The bacon line was developed to compete on a level with brands, whilst helping caterers make savings. The product was audited to highest standards and is able to be cooked in a number of different ways.

Why you should buy it:

Brand manager for Country Range Martin Ward said: “Eating breakfast out increased in 2013, with 41 per cent of consumers eating cooked breakfasts out of home.

“As you would expect, our new Country Range bacon can be grilled, fried or cooked on hot plate, where you are making bacon sandwiches and full breakfasts or tapping into the rise in demand for American food by serving up bacon pancakes with maple syrup.

“Of course, you don’t have to reserve it for morning meals. It is also a great addition for lunch and dinner menus, and the quality is there to use the bacon to create pasta sauces, salads, quiches and sandwich fillings, or wrap it around chicken and vegetables. The nation’s favourite meal is the roast dinner, so how about some pigs in blankets?”
