Red Hot World Buffet has introduced mobile payment across its seven UK restaurants.

The group, which has outlets in Cardiff, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Nottingham, is partnering with mobile payment app Zapper after a successful trial period.

Diners will receive a QR code on their bill, which they can scan and pay using the Zapper app. They can also add a tip or split the bill though the app.

All customer data will be captured and passed on to Red Hot World Buffet, which will be able to send bespoke offers direct to diners’ mobiles via the app mailbox.

As part of the partnership, Zapper will offer diners a £2.50 discount on their bill when they use the app to pay for the first time at a Red Hot World Buffet restaurant, and has also introduced a ‘waiter of the month’ rewards system across the group.

Eddy Passey, group operations director for Red Hot World Buffet said “We know that speed of service is crucial for our guests and the ability to leave whenever they choose, without having to attract a team member and then use a card machine, gives them extra choice and flexibility. It also means that our team can spend more personal time with those guests who do want closer interaction.”

Zapper sales and operations director Gerry Hooper added: “We are delighted to introduce our services to the customers of Red Hot World Buffet throughout the UK.”
