Imago achieved record sales during the Christmas period, with its flagship hotel reporting 10.5 per cent growth.

The success of Burleigh Court, recent winner of the Leicester and Leicestershire Excellence in Tourism Awards Hotel of the Year category, was attributed to imago’s focus on its promotional sales and marketing campaigns.

The hotel offered an extensive range of seasonal packages during the festive season including Christmas party nights, office lunches, Santa Sunday Lunches and a New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance.

Emma Boynton, head of sales and marketing at imago, said: “Over the last few years we have seen a steady increase in interest for Christmas parties being held at Burleigh Court, The Link and Holywell Park.

“It highlights that businesses are once again willing to invest in celebrating the festive season with their staff.”

Launched in 2003, imago’s portfolio of venues merges Loughborough University’s conference and events facilities and hotels under one brand.

Boynton said: “With new ideas in the pipeline to make 2015 even more festive we’re confident that this growth will continue.”
