Professional chefs from across the UK have been challenged to create a contemporary twist on the ice cream sundae.
Just five entrants will be selected to compete in the grand final at the new Good Housekeeping Institute in Soho on 3 June.
The recipes will be scrutinized by a panel of judges including Restaurant magazine Features Editor Joe Lutrario and award winning patissier and chocolatier Will Torrent.
Torrent said: “I’m delighted to be part of the Mövenpick Gourmet Dessert Chef of the Year competition for the second time. Whilst last year’s calibre of entries was outstanding, I’m really looking forward to seeing the chefs raise the bar even higher to earn the prestigious title as competition champion.”
The winner will showcase their recipe at Taste of London this summer, as well as receiving VIP tickets to the festival, a two night stay at a five star London hotel and spending money for their trip.
The runner up will also be awarded VIP tickets to the festival and an overnight stay at a four star hotel.
The final deadline for recipe submissions is Sunday 3 May 2015.
