Giorgio Locatelli's Mayfair restaurant Locanda Locatelli will re-open on 14 March following a four month closure caused by a gas explosion. 

The Michelin-starred restaurant was forced to close last November after the explosion at the Hyatt Regency Churchill hotel destroyed much of the kitchen.

The restaurant interior remains largely unchanged, but the kitchen has been completely redesigned to include state-of-the-art equipment and a semi-private dining space has been incorporated in to the restaurant to seat up to 20.

The menu will retain many of its popular dishes, including Lobster Linguine and Pappardelle with Broad Beans and Rocket, and feature new dishes such as Mezzi Paccheri Pasta with Red Gurnard, Black Olives and Almonds and Cicerchia Soup with Whole Grain Prawn Ravioli. Locatelli is also planning to create a selection of raw vegetable salads to be added to the menu.

Chef-patron Locatelli said: “I am thrilled that we are finally able to open our doors to the public after our unfortunate closure in November. I am extremely excited to get back in the kitchen.”
