A new pop-up serving over 100 deep fried sweet and savoury dishes is launching at BOXPARK Shoreditch on 2 April.

A collaboration between London Mess chef James Thomlinson and Emma Thomas of Miss Cakehead, Fry Hard has so far experimented with deep frying buttered crumpets, cheese filled hot cross buns, and Easter classics such as Creme Eggs.

On Easter Sunday the pop-up will serve a fully fried roast dinner, consisting of a whole fried lamb joint, roast potatoes, rosemary, carrots and sprouts. The Sunday lunch serves six and needs to be booked in advance.

Thomlinson told The Publican's Morning Advertiser: "The response so far has blown us away – it’s such a fun project before the hard work on launching my street food concept in Prawography in early June."

Fryhard have invited customers to suggest items to deep fry via their Facebook page.
