A survey of 2,165 Britons found that Millennial's are 50 per cent more likely to have travelled for business in the last two years compared to people over the age of 35.
Fifty-one per cent of young travellers value high-speed wifi, compared to 39 per cent of older travellers, and almost half are looking forward to accommodation offering better access to technology in rooms, compared to 38 per cent of their older peers.
Ben Harper, sales director of SACO, said: “Our new research findings serve to underpin the travel behaviours of Millennials and consequently what we foresee for the future of business travel.
“SACO know that by 2020, Millennials will represent over half the workforce, and therefore their insight into technological innovations and what they want from a serviced apartment is gold dust.”
The report warned that companies investing in technology should ‘make it worth their time or not bother’, as 'clunky websites or slow connections will actively impair [Millennials] experience, and they will be the fastest of any consumer group to vent their frustrations online'.
