A prime Leicester Square site has come on the market for the first time in 15 years, as wine bar Yates moves out.

The 11,000 sq.ft bar, situated between Leicester Square Odeon and London Capital Radio, is to be marketed on a new lease of £2m per annum.

“This is an extremely rare opportunity to acquire a flagship presence in London," said leasing agent Richard Scott, director at Nash Bond.

"It is not only an area teaming with nightlife, tourists and visitors, but is a globally recognised address because of its red carpet premieres and paparazzi. Where else can you sit and have a drink in London and watch global movie stars walk by?

“We expect strong interest from international restaurant and bar operators looking for that flagship London presence.”

Nash Bond and Savills are marketing the lease on behalf of Criterion Capital.
