Ippudo is opening its second UK site at Canary Wharf in Summer 2015.

Following the launch of its flagship Central St Giles site last year, the noodle specialist is opening a 65-cover restaurant in the new Crossrail development.

Ippudo Canary Wharf will offer the brands signature Hakata-style ramen dishes alongside a UK exclusive menu, combining Japanese flavours with high quality British produce.

Vegetarian versions, made from a Seaweed and Mushroom Broth topped with Noodles, Fried Tofu and Bean Sprouts will also be available.

The site will be designed around the theme of 'East meets West' and operate a no reservations policy.

Founded as an independent ramen restaurant in Fukuoka, Japan, by Shigemi Kawahara in 1985, ramen specialists Ippudo now operate over 120 restaurants across 13 different countries, serving more than 50,000 bowls of ramen each day.
