London based bar and restaurant collective The Columbo Group has announced plans to open a Blues Kitchen site in Brixton.

Based at the former Electric Social, the Group will redevelop the site to offer a combination of Texas BBQ, live music and 'one of the biggest bourbon selections in London'.

The venue will be the third Blues Kitchen in the capital following the successful launch of the Shoreditch site in 2014, and the original Camden site in 2009.

Columbo Group founder Steve Ball, who was named as one of The Evening Standard’s ‘1000 Influential Londoners’ in 2014, said: “Brixton is currently one of the most exciting areas of London for restaurants, bars and clubs so we’re thrilled to be opening our third Blues Kitchen site here.

"The lively mix of late night music and authentic BBQ has been a great success in both Camden and Shoreditch and I look forward to bringing the party down south to Brixton."

This latest acquisition is the eighth addition to Columbo Group’s portfolio of restaurants, bars, clubs and live music venues in the capital.

The Blues Kitchen Brixton site is set to open in autumn 2015 at 40 Acre Lane, SW2 5SP.
