Ramside Hall Hotel near Durham has opened a wing of 47 premier bedrooms as part of a multi-million pound development.

The rooms include luxury bathrooms with walk-in showers and freestanding baths, as well as Juliet balconies with views over the four-star hotel’s championship golf course.

The wing also includes two family rooms and two junior suites, while a luxury Presidential suite is still under development.

Owner John Adamson said: “The accommodation is of the highest standard and is all part of our plan to make Ramside Hall a destination in its own right.”

The wing is part of a £16m development at the hotel, which will be completed when the Spa at Ramside opens this summer. The Spa will include a 25m pool, a vitality pool, external infinity pool and spa garden along with a variety of steam rooms, saunas and a Rasul mud chamber.

A gym, aerobics and dance studio, hair salon, Asian restaurant and bar will also open.

The hotel has also refurbished its residents lounge and main reception area as part of the investment.
