Following a £1.4m investment the group will develop the 150-cover restaurant over two floors.
The rapidly expanding brand currently has four sites across the North and Midlands, with plans to reach 15 across the UK by 2018.
James Douglas, Red’s co-founder, said: "London was always part of the strategy. Now with our strengthened management team, the time and location is right to strike.
“Unlike the North where a huge part of our role as brand leaders has been to educate customers about US style barbecue, there is already a saliency here in London. Red’s will bring something unique to Shoreditch.”
In 2014 Red's was tipped by advisory firm BDO to be among restaurants leading the rising popularity of barbecue and smokehouse food in 2015, alongside Bodean's, Porky's and Jackson & Rye.
Reds True Barbecue Shoreditch is set to open at 52-54 Great Eastern street.
