Japanese-Latin Raw Bar and Grill MOMMI is opening on Clapham High Street in early June.

The 85-cover site will feature a market-style menu of raw vegetable and fish dishes alongside Japanese Robata-grilled plates.

Signature hot dishes include Sea Bass with Sweet Potato, Olive Oil, Choclo, Burnt Yuzu Dressing and Red Amaranth; and Pork Belly with Sweet Potato and Salsa Criolla Sanguche.

“Drawing on the vibrancy of Miami, the upbeat rhythm of South America and the refinement of Japan, MOMMI aims to bring a fresh and unique destination restaurant to the heart of Clapham,” said operators The Mint Group.

MOMMI will serve a selection of wines all at the same price, encouraging diners to experiment, alongside Japanese craft beers and London’s first in-house sugar cane juicer.

The restaurant is the sixth opening from the Mint Group, whose portfolio includes Camden’s live music venue KOKO, Mary Janes in the City, ELK Bar in Fulham and Bison & Bird in Clapham.

MOMMI will open at 44 Clapham High Street, London SW4 7UR.
