Caffè Culture Show 2015: Coffee inspiration and innvovation

Hospitality operators looking to improve their coffee offering are being invited to attend this year's 'inspirational and innvovative' Caffè Culture Show. 

The show, which takes place on 13 and 14 May at London Olympia will see more than 220 suppliers - from global brands to artisan producers - showcase new products, while expert speakers from the speciality coffee world will share knowledge and advice during live demonstrations, seminars and panel discussions. 

Here's your one-stop guide to what is there this year: 

Business Theatre 

The Business Theatre will play host to a number of seminars designed to help you improve your coffee offering. Speciality Coffee Association Europe (SCAE) barista trainers Ben Townsend and Tim Sturk will explain the science behind espresso extraction and choosing the right coffee while Coffee Boys Johnnie Richardson and Hugh Gilmartin together with industry adviser Paul Miekle Janney will reveal the secrets to a successful coffee operation. 

Reputation coach Alan Stevens will be sharing his tips on attracting more customers while hospitality guru Rosy Holt will provide advice on building loyalty.   

Taste Experience Stage 

The Taste Experience Stage will host the latest on-trend food and drink demos from industry experts such as Bar Termini's Marco Arrigo, who will explore the influence of menus from the past on today’s coffee and Mondelez International barista Stuart Haden who will show how to make chocolate-based summer drinks​Magrini’s Emanuele Borella will make frozen drinks and desserts, while Food Network presenter and chef Andy Bates shares his passion for street food, and design-led baker Bee Berrie will unveil the power of the signature bake. 

National Barista Competitions

Talented baristas will battle to compete at the SCAE World of Coffee in the UK Coffee In Good Spirits Competition on 13 May and in the UK Cup Tasters Competition on 14 May.

Artisan Producers

The Independent Coffee Roasters’ Village, in association with La Marzocco, showcases roasting talent, bringing expert artisan producers together to share their passion, knowledge and skills.   Producers include Black Sheep Coffee, Caravan Roastery, Cast Iron Coffee Roasters, J. Atkinson and Co, Small Batch Coffee Company and The Isle of Wight Espresso Company.  Meanwhile, the Artisan Food Market promotes independent food and drink producers from across the UK.

New for 2015 is the Visitors’ Choice Award ​with winners announced on 13 May. 

New products

The show will also host a range of hot beverage and snack products as well as new equipment. 

Food product launches include gluten, dairy and MSG free vegan and vegetarian crisps from Ten Acre, gluten-free cakes and traybakes from The Handmade Cake Company and hand-separated free-range liquid egg yolks from The Egg Project by Merangz. 

Hot beverage launches include Bravura foods' instant peanut butter hot beverage Peanut Hottie, microlot coffees from Matthew Algie, Alpro Coconut for Professionals, sparkling fruit drinks from Luscombe Organic and Coffee-tea from New Vithanakande Tea. 

Equipment manufacturers will launch new products and show current models including grinders, espresso makers and coffee machines, refrigeration and cooling equipment, food service equipment, display counters, juicers and blenders, water filters and softeners, warewashing equipment, children’s products and security equipment. Launches will include Advantage warewashers from Nelson, the new Zumex Soul professional compact juicer from Jestic and new bean to cup machines from La Cimbali.
