Hilton Worldwide has launched its largest ever global careers initiative showcasing hospitality jobs to young people.

As part of the Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month, experts from London Hilton on Park Lane yesterday (14 May) took students on a tour of the capital, including visits to the Beyond Food Foundation, Le Corden Bleu Cookery School and Lambeth College, and provided advice on working in the industry.

Throughout May young people in the UK and worldwide will be joining Hilton team members for events including resume clinics, career speed-networking and presentations.

Michael Shepherd, general manager of the London Hilton on Park Lane, said: “Young people continue to face challenging employment prospects, so it is more important than ever to make sure they receive information and advice about the options available and the skills and attributes they will need once they embark on their chosen careers.

“We are passionate about raising awareness of the opportunities the hospitality industry offers and we are delighted to be doing this through one of our biggest ever careers events across the globe.”

The initiative is part of Hilton Worldwide’s Open Doors commitment, which aims to help one million young people in to work by 2019.
