The team behind Cornwall’s Watergate Bay Hotel has launched a new collection of destination hotels.

The Another Place group has announced Rampsbeck Hotel on Ullswater as its first acquisition.

Set in 18 acres of the Lake District National Park, the 19-room four red-star hotel also sits on a quarter-mile of lakefront.

“Every property in the Another Place collection will be characterised by a fantastic location,” said Will Ashworth, founder of Another Place and managing director of Watergate Bay Hotel.

“Rampsbeck is the perfect hotel to kick off our new collection. There is a strong team and reputation already in place and we are looking forward to introducing a few of our own ideas. We intend to appeal to both current and new visitors," he said.

The collection’s second site will be the Royal William Yard, a 60-bedroom urban boutique hotel occupying a Grade 1 former naval victualing building in Plymouth.

The property, which was acquired by the Watergate Bay team in 2013, is set to undergo an £18m redevelopment in conjunction with Urban Splash and Plymouth City Council.
