French artisanal bistro Champagne + Fromage is opening a new site on Church Street in Greenwich market this June.

The shop, which features 20 indoor and 20 outdoor covers, will serve hot and cold rustic French food alongside a variety of grower Champagnes available by the glass or bottle.

It will be the third opening for the husband and wife run business, which first opened as a pop-up in Covent Garden in 2011, with a second 40-cover site launching in Brixton Market in 2013.

Director Stefano Frigerio said: “We are extremely excited to be bringing our unique concept to a coveted corner of historic Greenwich market, which sees a footfall of in excess of 4.8 million visitors per year.”

Frigerio told BigHospitality in 2013 that while the groups’ future plans included ‘four or five places in London’, he wanted the company to grow organically and not ‘rush in to opening a mini-chain’.

Champagne + Fromage is a collaboration between champagne supplier FrenchBubbles, run by Frigerio and his wife, and Une Normandeà Londres – which sources artisan cheese, cured meat, and preserves from across France.

The Greenwich site will include a retail offering, with over 50 French cheeses, a selection of terrine, rillettes, cassoulets, confits, soups and jams, saucisses, and 25 Champagnes all available.

Champagne + Fromage will be located at 34 Church Street, Greenwich London.
