Anna Hansen MBE is opening a second Modern Pantry in Finsbury Square in July.

The all-day dining venue, which launches seven years after its sister Clerkenwell site, features a tapas bar, restaurant and private dining room.

Rob McLeary will head up the kitchen, serving a selection of dishes created using 'a global larder of ingredients' in collaboration with Hansen.

“The Modern Pantry Clerkenwell is in its seventh year now so developing The Modern Pantry Finsbury Square has been hugely exciting," said Hansen.

“I have been involved in every aspect, which has been great fun and although the space looks different to Clerkenwell, it will feel very similar - relaxed and friendly with lots of tasty food and great sherry’s, wines and cocktails. The tapas bar will be a really fun place to just drop in for a tipple and snack, or to stay all day and eat your way through the menu."

Tapas options are set to include Dhansak Spiced Rose Veal Mince Omelette with Chopped herbs and Crispy shallots; and Smoked Mussel, Avocado, Seaweed and Brown Crab Mayonnaise Brioche Bun.

A selection of seafood, salad and meat, will be available a' la carte in the restaurant, including Squid Ink Battered Cornish Bod with Date, Coriander and White Poppy Seed Besan Chips, Seaweed Relish and Brown Crab Mayonnaise.

Housed on the ground flood of a Georgian building on the corner of Finsbury Square in the City, the site includes an open kitchen and design inspired by Hansen's Scandinavian background.

Modern Pantry Finsbury will open at The Alphabeta Building, 14-18 Finsbury Square, London from 7am for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tapas bar will open daily from 11am-11pm.
