Joan Roca of El Celler de Can Roca will headline the Estrella Damm Chef Congress next week
Joan Roca, head chef and co-owner of the newly crowned World's Best Restaurant, will headline the Estrella Damm Gastronomy Congress in London next week. 

The chef at famed restaurant El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain, which has just topped The World's 50 Best Restaurants list for the second time, head up a stellar cast of chefs, which also includes Albert Adria from Michelin-starred Tickets, in Barcelona and Brett Graham from The Ledbury, in London. 

All three chefs' restaurants appear in the newly released list of the World's 50 Best Restaurants,​ with another top chef set to be confirmed imminently as part of the line-up. 

The congress is being held at The Hurlingham Club, in south west London on Monday 29 June, on the afternoon of the National Restaurant Awards.

Now in its second year, the event will explore the changing face of modern gastronomy with live cooking demonstrations as well as a presentation on future trends in the dining sector. 

This year's congress is expected to attract more than 400 attendees. 

The congress will be followed in the evening by the National Restaurant Awards​, Restaurant magazine's annual ranking of the top 100 places to eat in the UK, which is also being held at the prestigious private members' club.
