Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts is to open a £20m hotel in Buckinghamshire this Autumn.

The former Bellhouse Hotel will re-open as the 138-room four-star Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross following a two year redevelopment by hotel operators The Cairn Group.

The site now features a 6500 sq.m events space, six meeting rooms, a Creative Attic, breakout bar and landscaped garden. Two conference and banqueting spaces seat 350 and 260 people respectively.

The design team behind Barrafina have created on-site destination restaurant 1269, which specialises in livestock, game and butcher-style preparation.

Former Charing Cross hotel chef Dean Crews will head up the kitchen, with dishes including Buccleuch Estate Beef aged for 28 days in-house and cooked on a charcoal grill, and 1269’s speciality cured salmon.

Opening Summer 2015, 1269 also features a freshly hung meat display, whisky vault, and a bourbon focused drinks menu ‘to rival any London bar’.

The redevelopment has also created a new Wave Spa and Wellness Centre, featuring a 15m pool, steam room, juice bar and five treatment rooms for guests.

The Cairn Group operates 23 hotels nationwide, and has spent over £40m acquiring and improving assets over the past five years.
