Come Fry With Me: Gourmet chip restaurant opening in London

Launching in Covent Garden this Autumn, Come Fry With Me will serve gourmet varieties of triple cooked chips available as skinny, gastro or skin-on, either flavoured, topped or in a butty.
The restaurant has been designed to evoke the heyday of 1960’s air travel, with dishes arriving on a ‘fry carousel’ conveyor belt.
Founder Tiffany Plant said: “Crisps come in different shapes, sizes and a crazy number of flavours too – so why does the fry get left to a pinch of salt and a splash of vinegar? Fries are delicious with Marmite, rosemary, steak…”
On the menu are chips tossed in truffle and parmesan, coated in Guinness batter, or served skin-on with garlic and herbs.
Toppings include steak and stilton, and chilli con carne with sour cream.
The potatoe wary can enjoy a medley of parsnip, carrot and courgette, while a cinnamon sweet potato variety has been created for diners with a sweet tooth.
Come Fry With Me is debuting at Clapham Food Festival between 24-26 June and will be popping-up at food festivals nationwide throughout the year.
