Handmade Burger Company has become the latest restaurant group to receive Gluten Free (GF) accreditation from Coeliac UK.

The 23-strong group, which recently received funding for refurbishment, joins restaurant groups such as Carluccio's and La Tasca who have gone through a rigorous process to guarantee that selected dishes are free of gluten.

Handmade Burger Company's GF accreditation now means all restaurants serve 40 gluten-free burger options, seven of which are vegetarian, gluten-free chips, salads and sides. The restaurant chain also stocks Estrella Damm's gluten-free beer Daura.

"The gluten free market is growing at a rapid pace and the demand from our customers for a gluten free menu has been incredible. We now offer coeliac customers and customers who choose a gluten free diet a fantastic and varied menu that has been accredited by Coeliac UK," said a spokesperson.

"Handmade Burger Co has worked closely with Coeliac UK during the accreditation process and their team have all received training in preparation and serving of their gluten free menu items. Handmade Burger Co pride themselves on only using the freshest and finest ingredients and are proud to have gained the Coeliac UK GF accreditation."

The restaurant chain works with a wheat-free bakery which produces gluten-free buns to a recipe approved by co-owner Chris Sargeant who said the company would continue to innovate in this area in the future.
