Devon-based restaurant and cafe business ODE True Food has announced plans to open a pizza restaurant within a holiday park next year.

The new concept - ODE&Co True Pizza -  which will serve sourdough pizza and pasta, will open within South West Holiday Parks' Coast View site in Shaldon next Easter.

It is the first partnership between ODE True Food and South West Holiday Parks, which operates three sites in Devon and Cornwall. The Coast View project will include complete renovation of an existing cafe, gymnasium and pool area and will include a new cafe-bar, pool, gym and spa.

Diners at the 120-cover ODE&Co True Pizza will be able to order wood-fired pizza from an open kitchen which will use well-sourced produce, including buffalo mozzarella from Laverstock Park Farm in Hampshire. The business will also offer takeaway and a delivery service.

Tim Bouget of ODE-true food said: "This is the perfect location for our first ODE&Co and we are very excited about the new project and partnership with South West Holiday Parks. My love of Italian food stems from days working with Stephano Cavalini and Gaulteiro Marchesi in London and provides an opportunity to offer something truly unique but at the same time sharing the company’s sustainable philosophy."

Bouget said the company was using its latest venture - a pop-up pizza concept delivering wood-fired pizzas from a vintage horsebox trailer - ODE on the ROAD, which it launched last month, to trial and develop its pizza offering.

The business, a regular winner of the Sustainable Restaurant Association's Sustainable Restaurant of the Year award, opened its second Cafe-ODE in Salcombe earlier this year. It also operates the ODE Dining restaurant and ODE Cafe in Shaldon.
