Lucy Jones, who works at Chewton Glen Hotel in Hampshire, won her medallion of excellence in the restaurant service category.
Danny Hoang, works as a chef at The Gove Hotel in Hertfordshire, picked up his Medallion of Excellence in the cooking category.
Mikaela Wright, a part-time member of staff at Rogano Seafood and Oyster restaurant in Glasgow, achieved a Medallion of Excellence in the patisserie and confectionary category.
Skills Minister, Nick Boles said: “Congratulations to Team UK on its impressive medal tally and achievement at WorldSkills São Paulo. Their hard work shows how far apprenticeships and professional and technical training can take young people, and the skills they are learning will help drive them towards an exciting and rewarding career.”
TeamUK’s squad of 41 young professionals across a range of industries won three gold medals, four silver and three bronze, along with a further 18 Medallions of Excellence and the Albert Vidal award.
