Compass Group UK & Ireland's fine-dining division Restaurant Associates is continuing its links with the Roux family by hiring Emily Roux, the daughter of Michel Roux Jr, as a consultant.

In her role Emily will create bespoke menus for Restaurant Associates clients, make guest appearances in Restaurant Associates restaurants and work with the company's chefs.

The chef, who studied at the Institut Paul Bocuse and has worked at Alain Ducasse's La Trattoria and 39V and Akrame in Paris, will also host private events with her father at Roux at Parliament Square, the restaurant he opened in May 2010.

She said: "I’m excited to be cooking alongside my family and Restaurant Associates. I’m looking forward to working with clients and chefs to create inspiring, bespoke menus that are of world class quality. There’s exceptionally talented chefs working in the business and I can’t wait to join the team and share all that I have learnt from my experience and upbringing.”

Restaurant Associates managing director James Boyle said he was pleased to keep the Roux family legacy going.

"We love working with such creative and innovative chefs – it’s inspiring for our people, clients and customers," he said.

Restaurant Associates continues to work in partnership with Albert and Michel Roux Jr following Compass's acquisition of Roux Fine Dining in 1993. Both chefs work as consultants for Restaurant Associates and coach its chefs as well as host a number of events.

Michel said: “It’s great that we’re able to continue our special relationship with Restaurant Associates and work side by side as a family, to create food that is of the highest standard. I’m particularly looking forward to working together at events, where I know our skills will perfectly compliment the others.”
