Barley & Buns will open at the W Hotel restaurant next month.
A representative for the site said the pop-up was designed as a ‘casual alternative’ to Spice Market’s A La Carte menu, which will now only be available for evening service.
Lloyd has created a menu of six Taiwanese Gua Bao-style buns, with fillings including Soy Glazed Short Rib, Apple and Jalapeno; and sweet options such as a deep fried crispy steamed bun filled with coconut jam and sprinkled with soy sugar.
The buns will be paired with six barley-infused cocktails such as the Spiced Negroni - a mix of Campari, gin, Peroni and Elemakule bitters - and a selection of 'special' shandys devised by Spice Market beverage manager Enzo Mirto.
Running from October until Christmas, Barley & Buns will also feature a takeaway option, #BunsAway, from 12pm-11pm daily.
