Lahiru (Larry) Jayasekara, sous chef Gordon Ramsay Holdings, has 13 years experience working in leading Michelin starred restaurants.
He developed his skills with roles in some of the country’s most high-profile restaurants. As senior chef de partie at Marcus Wareing London, he regularly ran the main pass under the supervision of Gordon Ramsay, before moving to become the senior sous chef at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in 2009, a role that allowed him to develop his talent under Raymond Blanc. After a year of honing his skills, Jayasekara returned to London to join Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley as senior sous chef, where he regularly ran the kitchen in Marcus’ absence.
In 2013, Jayasekara moved to The Manor at Weston-on-the-Green where he spent one year before joining Gordon Ramsay Holdings working for Clare Smyth.
Jayasekara will be competing in the National Chef of the Year final for the second time.
