Arthur Bridgeman Quin
Arthur Bridgeman Quin began his interest in food whilst studying at Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale. From there he delved straight into the catering industry and joined Punch Bowl at Crosthwaite as a commis chef.
In the past two years he has quickly progressed around all sections of the kitchen. His hard work, enthusiasm and willingness to learn enables him to run the 2AA rosette dining pub of the year kitchen, as acting sous chef. Quin recently completed an NVQ level three in advanced pastry at Kendal College as he works towards becoming a more rounded chef. He helps with menu development, costings, staff rotas and organisation of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
Quin entered the Young National Chef of the Year competition to develop his skills alongside the country’s top talent, to give him something to focus on and most of all for the enjoyment of taking part.
