Raymond Steplins
Steplins' passion for cooking began at 16 when he studied Culinary Arts as a professional chef diploma course at Westminster Kingsway College. During the three years he learned a tremendous amount of cooking skills and undertook work experience at L'Aautre Pied and The Wolseley.
Eventually his culinary experiences brought him to the House of Commons where he has worked as a demi chef de partie for over a year now. He enjoys working with the friendly team and learns a huge amount on a day to day basis. Under guidance from the senior chefs, Steplins entered and won the British Culinary Federation Young Chef of the Year. He also competed at the WACS Global Young Chef of the Year competition in Denmark, which was an excellent learning experience. He is looking forward to the opportunity to prove himself at the Young National Chef of the Year Final.
