Maëlys Jacquot was appointed to the position of restaurant manager at Simpsons in Edgbaston, London.
She graduated from Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon and has since spent seven years working in customer service environments including at the Michelin-starred Le Prieure in Avignon, France. She is also an ambassador for hospitality charity Springboard.
Jacquot said: “Simpsons has always been highly regarded in Birmingham and the recent refurbishment has breathed fresh life into the restaurant. It’s wonderful to be part of such an ambitious and passionate team and I’m looking forward to playing my role in delivering the best dining experience in the area.”
Andreas Antona, chef patron of Simpsons, said: “Maëlys is a true professional and a fantastic addition to the team. The refurbishment was a huge investment and we’re delighted with the new look and feel which has brought the restaurant up to date and given it a new lease of life.”
