February
In February we reported that bug grub would no longer be limited to Bushtucker trials with the launch of the UK's first insect restaurant.
Grub Kitchen aims to educate people on the principles of entomophagy - the human consumption of insects - with a menu including cricket crepes, bug burgers, and bamboo worm fudge ice cream.
Chef Andrew Holcroft told BigHospitality that '99 per cent of people' who tried the bugs liked the taste and that he hoped insects could become part of the UK's mainstream diet within '10 to 15 years'.
