DoubleTree by Hilton London has opened its doors in Kensington, which joins the hotel chain’s 27-strong portfolio.

The hotel is located near London attractions including the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Natural History Museum.

It features 203 rooms and 10 suites, while the building retains much of its original 1870s architecture.

The hotel’s Regency Restaurant uses locally-sourced ingredients on its menu, while its bar, 100 Queens Gate Bar and Lounge, offers a relaxed atmosphere for cocktails, lunch and pre-theatre snacks.

It also offers eight meeting rooms, with the largest able to cater for up to 100 covers in theatre style.

Dianna Vaughan, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said: "We opened our first European DoubleTree by Hilton in Cambridge in 2008 and we are so pleased that our portfolio here in the UK continues to grow. We have no doubt that our warm and welcoming culture of hospitality will be embraced in Kensington, making it the perfect place for both tourists and business travellers.”
