A new build 298-bedroom four star Holiday Inn is set to open in Manchester next to Piccadilly Station in April 2016.

Dominvs Hospitality Hotels Group will operate the franchise from Intercontinental Hotels Group. Dominvs currently operates five hotels: Holiday Inn Express, Aberdeen; Crowne Plaza, Aberdeen; Holiday Inn, Dumfries; Holiday Inn, Darlington and Mercure, Sheffield.

The hotel will feature Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby concept, high specification accommodation, meeting facilities and super-fast free Wi-Fi.  Some of the hotel’s guest rooms and conference facilities have been named after famous Manchester icons including Noel and Liam Gallagher and George Best.

The hotel offers 24-hour dining facilities that will offer guests the option to eat “what they like, when they like, where they like”.

All rooms will be equipped with power showers, DVD/CD players and 40 inch LCD Smart HD televisions with cable channels.

Meeting rooms, which are named after local music icons, can cater for up to 200 delegates in the hotel’s 12 meeting rooms.

“This is an exciting time for Dominvs, working with the globally renowned Holiday Inn brand in the heart of a city going through a time of significant regeneration and increasing stature within Europe,” said Dominvs chief operating officer, Sean Brookes.

“We’re confident that the combination of the prime location and Holiday Inn brand is going to be a great success with both business and leisure guests.”
