London bar The London Cocktail Club is to launch a crowdfunding campaign as it forges ahead with plans to treble the size of the company over the next three years.

The London Cocktail Club owners JJ Goodman and James Hopkins, who won BBC TV show The Restaurant in 2010, hope to raise £750,000 via the month-long #RaiseTheBar push on Crowdcube, which invites aspiring bar owners, investors and fellow entrepreneurs to own a 7.5 per cent stake in the business.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to make our family bigger and give our actual fans the chance to be a part of it,” Goodman, who founded the LCC in 2010, said.

“Our core values are all about serving everybody so we loved the idea that our customers can become our investors… what better way to grow our family than to allow everyone to get involved? It was a no brainer.”

The campaign officially launches tomorrow (2 March) at LCC’s The Studio @ Oxford Circus venue.

Goodman and Hopkins have also created a five minute video in support of the campaign. BBC’s Dragon's Den's Sarah Willingham and celebrity chef Raymond Blanc, who both sit on the company’s board of directors, also appear in the footage.

An official ‘Show me the Money’ campaign cocktail has also been created and will be priced 2 for £12 across LCC bars throughout March.
