River Cottage HQ, PizzaExpress and The Clink restaurant in Cardiff are among the companies making this year's Sustainable Restaurant Association's (SRA) Food Made Good Awards shortlist.

The awards, previously known as the Sustainable Restaurant Awards, will be presented by the SRA’s President Raymond Blanc OBE, at Lindley Hall on 22 March.

As well as revealing award winners for each category Blanc will reveal the identity of his Sustainability Hero.

SRA managing director Mark Linehan said the diversity of eateries on the shortlist, ranging from boutique hotels to chain restaurants and universities, reflected 'the positive changes the industry has made in recent years to meet the dining public’s ever increasing appetite for food that’s delicious, ethical and sustainable'.

"Now in their fifth year, albeit with a new name, the Food Made Good Awards recognise the incredible achievements of restaurants and the wider hospitality sector that few other awards do," he said. "With a transformation in diners’ attitudes towards food and how it is produced, we believe these awards reward the unsung heroes of hospitality who go way beyond just serving delicious food.”
