Harbour Hotels takes over management of Radisson Blu Edwardian Guildford hotel

The 183-bedroom hotel, in the centre of Guildford, has been re-named Guildford Harbour Hotel and will be managed by the 13-strong hotel group, which recently opened the nearby Chichester Harbour Hotel.
Harbour Hotels said it planned to re-brand the hotel's restaurant and bar under its Jetty restaurant brand, the concept led by the group's chef patron Alex Aitken.
Managing director Mike Warren said: “We are very excited to be taking the Harbour Hotels brand to Guildford; with a principal position in the heart of the town, we plan to maximise on this popular location with a full refurbishment programme - to include our award-winning restaurant and bar concepts.”
The hotel, which includes a spa, has been managed by Edwardian Hotels London on behalf of the owners for the last four years. The conversion by Harbour Hotels is part of major expansion plans into southern England by the independent owner-operator.
Umi hotel in Brighton and two former bank sites in Bristol, acquired by Harbour Hotels earlier this year, are yet to be transformed into Harbour Hotels.
