The team behind Fitzrovia's neighbourhood restaurant Picture are to open a second site in Marylebone this July.

It comes three years after former Arbutus chef’s Alan Christie and Colin Kelly first launched Picture with ex-Wild Honey manager Tom Slegg.

Designed to build on the success of the first venue, the new site will feature a six course tasting menu (£45 a head) as well as an extended modern European a la carte menu.

Dishes are set to include Slow Cooked Lamb Neck with Crisp Sweetbreads; and a Summer Vegetable Salad to share.

“The aim was to open a restaurant serving top quality food in a relaxed setting that was affordable,” said Slegg.

“We love to feel part of a neighbourhood so Marylebone seemed an obvious destination for us. We’re so fond of our Fitzrovia community and benefit from a lot of repeat business and word of mouth, and we hope the Marylebone crowd will be as pleased to welcome us.”

Picture Marylebone will soft launch at 19 New Cavendish Street from 4-9 July, before officially opening on 11 July for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday.
