Jason Atherton is teaming up with London Heathrow to create a VIP menu inspired by his Michelin-starred restaurants.

The chef will give customers a taste of his top London venues including Pollen Street Social and Berners Tavern.

Business and First Class passengers will be able to enjoy the dishes by booking the Heathrow VIP scheme.

The menu will be updated monthly, with travellers in June being treated to a selection of canapes, followed by a Berners Tavern Summer Salad starter and a Roasted Stone Bass, Caramelised Cauliflower, Fennel and Cockle Veloute main course.

Atherton said: “I’ve always been impressed with how the service transforms the way you travel so I was delighted to help make the dining experience a true occasion for passengers."

The VIP service includes a private lounge, personal shopping experience and a luxury car service to the plane.

Passengers can also choose whether to be the first or last to board the flight.

Atherton is a busy man, with his Social Company restaurant group set to expand to 16 sites worldwide with a soon-to-open venue in the Nova Victoria development.

The chef currently runs seven London restaurants including Pollen Street Social and Sosharu, and recently opened his first venue in the Philippines in his wife’s hometown of Cebu.
