Peter Sanchez-Iglesias to open Pi Shop in July

The 40-cover venue has been inspired by Casamia’s roots as an Italian restaurant, and will feature an open-plan kitchen serving a ‘simple and affordable’ menu of sour dough pizzas.
Michelin-starred Casamia was launched by Peter’s parents in 1999, before he took it over with his brother Jonray - who passed away in 2015.
Peter said in a statement: “It’s always been a dream of Jonray and mine to return to our roots and create a pizza restaurant in our home town.
“Although we wish we could have opened sooner, we now have the perfect location, amazing dough recipe and wicked flavours so we’re ready to go.”
Pi Shop is the first of two new dining concepts from the Sanchez brothers to launch in Bristol’s The General development this year.
Paco Tapas – a tapas bar named after the duo’s father Paco – will join Pi Shop alongside the newly relocated Casamia in the former hospital site at an unconfirmed date.
