Boulud Sud could be permanent if London pop-up is a success

The French chef – best known for his high-end Daniel site in New York – is to bring Boulud Sud to London from 1 July to 31 August, within the existing Bar Boulud operation in the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London.
A representative for the pop-up today said that there was a possibility it could open a permanent location should the pop-up go well, but there were no definite plans confirmed as yet.
Typical dishes will include the Mediterranean Mezze platter, Crispy Artichokes Alla Romana, Cuttlefish and Shaved Bottarga, Sicilian Sardine Escabeche, Spaghetti ‘Nero’ with Calabrian Chilli, Lamb Burger and Moroccan Chicken Tagine.
There will also be a wine list from Provence, Greece and Morocco.
Boulud Sud is a Mediterranean-style restaurant operation in New York, and does not as yet have any sites in the UK.
It forms part of Boulud’s global restaurant empire and management company, which also includes sites in Las Vegas, Palm Beach, Miami, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, and Singapore.
His other brands include DB Brasserie, Café Boulud, and DBGB Kitchen & Bar.
