The Craft Beer Co secures eighth site, in London’s Limehouse

The Craft Beer Co, which currently operates six sites in London and one in Brighton, has secured its eighth site, in east London’s Limehouse.

The new venue will be on the site of the former Railway Tavern, at 576 Commercial Road, very near to Limehouse DLR Station. It is set to open in late October after undergoing refurbishment.

The site is owned by Punch Taverns but will be operated by the Craft Beer Co is operated under a free of tie agreement. It will offer 10 cask beers on tap, 20 keg beers, and a wide range of bottled and canned craft, plus wines and spirits.

Martin Hayes, founder and managing director of The Craft Beer Co. (pictured above), said: “It’s a smaller site than our others, but it has a lot of character and it’s in an area that’s edgy. I like that about it.”

The Craft Beer Co operates five sites across the capital, including Covent Garden, Clerkenwell, Islington, Clapham, Brixton, and St Mary Axe; plus one site in Brighton.

It focuses on a wide selection of local craft beers, and also serves a bar snack-style food menu featuring burgers and traditional snacks.
