The ‘On Your Team’ campaign will focus on issues affecting independent hotels and restaurants and how the BHA’s ‘back office’ can help.
The trade association is encouraging members with legal queries to call its free helpline ahead of the 2017 business rates revaluation.
It can also offer advice on issues such as employment concerns and regulatory uncertainties.
Ufi Ibrahim, CEO of the BHA, said: “Small and medium sized hotels and restaurants form a majority segment of the hospitality and tourism sector.
“As an industry we face a myriad of challenges. Following the recent revaluation, businesses are subject to the biggest business rates change for years, and some hotel and restaurant owners will see large increases. Not only do we work to make sure our SME members’ issues are firmly on the government’s agenda, we also provide support to our members via our free legal helpline.”
Other BHA member services include a free 24/7 health and safety hotline and an allergens toolkit.
