Middletons Steakhouse to open flagship Leicester site
Regional restaurant group Middletons Steakhouse & Grill has confirmed it will open its £1.5m flagship Leicester site this month.

The Steve Hutton-led chain has redeveloped a Grade II listed former Natwest Bank building in the St Martins area of the city in to a 200-cover restaurant.

It will open its doors on 14 October, almost a year since Hutton launched his fifth Middletons restaurant in Watford in November 2015.

Hutton said the ‘amazing’ site was the most ‘ambitious project to date’ for the fledgling steakhouse brand.

Middletons opened its debut site just outside Kings Lynn in 2011 and has since expanded to Colchester, Norwich and Milton Keynes.

Hutton told BigHospitality last year that he was aiming to open 3-4 restaurants a year by 2018 and was considering sites in Chelmsford, Lincoln and Nottingham.

The group has also launched its own butchery to give the chain ‘complete control’ over its supply chain as it continues to expand across UK.
