Also joining Fairmont St Andrews is Tristan Allen, who has been appointed director of food & beverage.
Joining from the five-star Culloden Estate & Spa in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Allen will be responsible for guiding the venue and ensuring the service and standards are met and the performance objectives are achieved in his team of 75 people.
Allen brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with over 15 years in the hospitality industry. He attended the world famous Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork, Ireland, which gave him his culinary grounding and was a managing consultant for two restaurant projects in Malaysia and China after completing a degree in hospitality from Dundee University.
He said: “I love seasonal local produce and it is exciting to come to the region of St Andrews Bay where we are taking full and an enthusiastic advantage of the fantastic local larder that is on our doorstep.
