Fairview Hotels is continuing its UK expansion with the acquisition of four Novotel properties.

The company has purchased Novotel Coventry, Ipswich, Manchester West and Wolverhampton as part of a deal with AccorHotels and Land Securities.

It brings Fairview’s portfolio to a total of nine hotels with a total of 960 rooms across the UK.

Neil Forbes, Fairview Hotels’ director of operations, said “We are delighted that the special relationship forged between AccorHotels and Fairview continues to grow."

All the properties will be operated by Fairview under franchise agreement with AccorHotels.

The company said the deal presented an ‘ideal opportunity’ to capitalise on the ‘flexibility of the franchise model’.

Fairview’s existing portfolio includes two Mecure hotels, two Novotels and one Ibis property.

The group has also partnered with chef Marco Pierre White and Black & White Hospitality to launch a Marco’s New York Italian restaurant at its Flagship London Mercure Bloomsbury hotel.
