Polpo to open Exeter restaurant

The group, which was founded by Russell Norman and business partner Richard Beatty, will open a 65-cover site with 35 external covers in March.
It will be the first Polpo to offer a full breakfast and coffee menu to eat in or takeaway.
Dishes will be cooked in an open kitchen and will include Fritto Misto and Roast Stuffed Pork with Lentils and Radicchio; Pork and Fennel Meatballs; and individual Tiramisu Pots.
Norman said: “We can’t wait to open our doors this Spring and welcome fans of good food, good wine, Venetian Spritz and old-school hospitality.”
Polpo first opened in Soho in 2009 and has since expanded to four sites in London and one each in Brighton and Bristol.
Luke Bishop, managing director at Polpo, previously told BigHospitality's sister site MCA that the group was targeting expansion in regional market towns such as Canterbury and Cambridge.
