Allan Pickett joins Swan, Shakespeare's Globe
Allan Pickett has been named as the new executive chef at Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe in Southwark.

It follows the closure of the chef’s critically acclaimed restaurant Piquet in Fitzrovia, which he launched with Bodean’s founder Andre Blais in 2015.

Piquet was named the UK’s seventh best restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards, but ceased trading just a year after opening.

Now Pickett has joined the Swan, where he will be serving his own take on classic British dishes.

His new menu includes haunch of venison with faggot, braised red cabbage and damson preserve; and Cornish fish stew and saffron Norfolk potatoes with garlic mayonnaise.

The Swan opened at The Globe theatre a decade ago and donates a portion of its revenue to the Shakespeare’s Globe Trust charity.
